A few years ago, Galerie Pierre several exhibitions featuring young artists. The curation was based on recommendations from professors at schools, showcasing graduates from various institutions, and received significant support. The "newcomers" from that time have since made remarkable progress in their respective fields of art.

This year, we hope to once again provide a platform for young creators to exhibit their work. In the exhibition scheduled for April, we will be featuring four young creators: Yang Denglin, Wu Yixuan, Hua Jilin, and You Xinyu.

Yang Deng-Lin creates images by repeatedly scraping oily materials onto transparent glass from carbon paper. He explores the intricate relationships between characters in his imagery, using this contrast to reflect the duplicative nature of carbon paper.

Wu Yi-Shuan employs mineral pigments and gold leaf to explore themes of flowers and plants that rapidly grow and wither with the changing seasons in the East Asian monsoon belt. Her unique visual vocabulary interprets light and seasonal feelings, presenting poetic and warm imagery.

Hua Ji-Lin  draws from scenarios found in film, literature, and song lyrics, blending comic logic into her brushwork. Through the details of form, color, patterns, and composition, she gradually immerses the viewer in the context of her paintings.

Yu Hsin-Yu focuses on the relationship between the environment and the individual in her work. While the landscapes and plants in her paintings are inspired by everyday life, the clean tones of pastel and thinly applied acrylic paints convey a unique light and color characteristic of temperate regions.
