ESG Practices
Greenery Fence
At the construction sites effectively reduces CO2 pollution, enhances urban aesthetics, and is friendly to the visiting public.
In 1998, the concept of green fences was first introduced at Humanism Gendii construction sites. This initiative focused on developing reusable green fences components made from steel and installing automatic drip irrigation systems to ensure the greenery thrived from the start of construction through to completion. These green fences not only blocked dust but also reduced noise and pollution, transforming the relationship between pedestrians and construction sites. Once the project is completed, the greenery could be transplanted to community gardens for reuse, minimizing waste and supporting environmentally friendly goals. In 2008, a decision was made to offer the patent for these green fences free of charge to construction sites in Taichung, promoting their adoption and enhancing the city’s appearance.

Gendii Earth Day
Donate second-hand shoes to help underprivileged. We organize activities to pick up the litter in surrounding neighborhood and cleanup beach to protect our oceans.
Residents of each Gendii community come together, with parents guiding their children to clean up the neighborhood streets to develop good habits of caring for the neighborhood from an early age. They also actively participate in beach cleanups to restore Taiwan's shores to their pristine condition.
Reading in the park
Cozy lushy green reading nook was assembled in the Chaoyang Park and stocked with recycled books for people to enjoy tranquil reading time.
In 2018, the first corporate-sponsored park reading area was set up in Taichung at Chaoyang Environmental Park, with the aim of creating a spiritual oasis for the city. The initial collection of books, totaling nearly 800, was sourced from a book donation drive within the Gendii communities. Sharing good books promotes a cycle of kindness, allowing positive relationships to flourish through inspiring literature, ultimately weaving together beautiful stories.
