Wander Land

"Wander Land 境界 ‧ 遊走" highlights the works of four contemporary artists: Yi Yen, Lin Ying Chen, Wei Wei Ting, and Yang Yi-Syuan. Drawing inspiration from simple objects and familiar scenes in daily life, these artists delve into their essence, releasing inner authenticity. Through the interplay of memory and imagination, they employ diverse materials and techniques to imbue their works with distinctive narrative perspectives.

Yi Yen’s creations explore moments of “being moved” and “awareness,” capturing the essence of fleeting instants through light, wind, scents, and sudden sounds. Lin Ying Chen’s work, rooted in awe and respect for nature, centers on wild species. By juxtaposing contrasting materials and tones, she creates visual and emotional experiences that are both conflicting and harmonious. Wei Wei Ting, with his long-standing micro-realist technique, examines mountains, wood, vast terrains, and miniatures. His new series, "Big Events", merges elements of anime, graffiti, and classical painting to reflect the Taiwanese spirit behind news narratives. Yang Yi-Syuan incorporates mountain imagery into still-life paintings, stripping away intricate details to layer hues and light, offering a reimagined interpretation of landscapes through the dimension of time.
