Dimensional Transformation

Architecture, beyond serving as a vessel for artistic energy, also extends the possibilities of artistic creation, with intersections between the two fields everywhere to be found. For this exhibition, we have invited curator Tseng Ling-Li, an Assistant Professor at the Graduate Institute of Architecture at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, to serve as the bridge between these disciplines. With a multidisciplinary approach and integrative thinking, Tseng delves deeply into the curatorial concept for Galerie Pierre’s 34th Anniversary Exhibition, which explores the synergy between architecture and art.

"Dimensional Transformation" showcases a diverse range of works, including site-specific creations, textual reinterpretations, and digitally realized art. The exhibition navigates transitions across multiple dimensions: from 2D to 3D and vice versa, from the figurative to the abstract, and even incorporating the dimension of time. These layered transformations challenge and expand our understanding of both the physical and perceptual worlds.
