ART TAICHUNG 2026

In 2026, ART TAICHUNG relocates to the Taichung International Convention and Exhibition Center (TICEC), marking its transition from a long-established hotel art fair to an international-standard exhibition hall fair. The upgraded format brings together 63 selected galleries from Taiwan and abroad, opening a new chapter for contemporary art exchange in central Taiwan.

For its debut participation, Galerie Pierre presents the dual exhibition “Written & Expressed: A Decade Revisited” by Singdao WANG and Jason CHI at Booth C04. Singdao WANG builds his practice on the traditions of fine brushwork and texturing strokes, using layered acrylic to construct landscapes shaped by personal perception and memory.  Meanwhile, Jason CHI has long explored geometric order, structures of light and shadow, and a sense of temporality through his oil paintings, creating abstract spaces that resonate closely with emotional and psychological states.

The two artists first presented together as a dual solo exhibition at ART TAIPEI in 2015, where their works entered into dialogue through their contrasting approaches. Their reunion after ten years reflects on how each has evolved—returning to “writing”and “unwritten”as a way to trace the shifts in their practices and inner landscapes.
