Fiabci Taiwan 50th anniversary

The Association for the Advancement of Real Estate in the Republic of China (AAREC) today (5) held its 16th Third General Meeting and 50th Anniversary Gala Dinner, and the incumbent President of the Seventh AAREC and President of the Board of Directors of Treasure, Lily Chang, said that the AAREC was founded by Mr. Yin Chih-hao, the founder of Continental Engineering, who was the Chairman of the Taipei Construction and Commercial Association, and called for the advancement of the same industry to be established in January 1972 and in 1974, he applied to join the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI) to set up the Taiwan Branch of the World Real Estate Federation (WREF). In 1974, Mr. Yin applied for membership in the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI) and established the Taiwan Branch of the World Real Estate Federation.Looking back at the background of those years, FIABCI successfully and effectively helped to expand China's international space through second-track diplomacy during a difficult period of national diplomacy.

Lily Chang pointed out that through the continuing efforts of FIABCI-TAIWAN, this year's FIABCI 2022 Global Leadership Summit will be held in Kaohsiung for four years, in the hope of once again recreating the successful experiences of the 1986 Taipei World Congress and the 2013 Taichung World Congress, so that foreign guests from all over the world, and through WRIA, which is entering its 50th year this year, will be able to see Taiwan's construction industry at the same time and see the world's construction industry at the same time. Through this year's 50th Anniversary of the Real Estate Association of Taiwan, the global construction industry will be able to see the proud achievements of Taiwan's architectural soft power at the same time.

Lily Chang pointed out that in the international arena, the Real Estate Society of Taiwan (RESA) has been active in the FIABCI as a Taiwan chapter. Mr. Yin Zhihao, the founding chairman of RESA, was honored as the World President of the WRF in 1988, making him the second World President of the WRF from Asia, following the Japanese Edo President in 1982. Domestically, the Association has worked with the government to promote condominium building regulations and organize the National Real Estate Information Center during the terms of its second and third presidents, Zhang Minqiang and Chuang Nantian, respectively.

Lily Chang said that the main task of the FIABCI-Taiwan is the FIABCI-Taiwan Real Estate Excellence Awards, and also serves as a bridge between the industry and the government, for example, the government and the industry will promote the same level of drainage, or the domestic urgent issues of urban renewal and the crisis of the elderly is also one of the tasks.

Since the fourth chairman Tang Songzhang opened the National Award for Construction Excellence, with the enthusiastic support of domestic public and private sectors, the number of cases participating in the National Award for Construction Excellence has reached record highs every year during the terms of the fifth chairman Hwang Nanyuan, the sixth chairman Lin Changxun, and the incumbent President Lily Chang, and hit a record high of 272 cases last year.

Through the FIABCI-Taiwan Real Estate Excellence Awards, we have also succeeded in aligning Taiwan's architectural excellence with the Global Construction Excellence Awards organized by the World Real Estate Federation,” said Lily Chang. Since 2004, when Taiwan was first recognized with the Global Construction Excellence Award for the Hanbi Building, Taiwan has received 33 gold and 52 silver awards, enabling Taiwan's outstanding architectural works to shine globally.
