FIABCI-TAIWAN, led by its newly re-elected President, Lily Chang, led its Vice President, Tang Kuo-Wei, and Director, Mr. Dai Yuzhe, to Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, on December 2 to participate in the Global Leadership Summit (GLS)on behalf of the FIABCI-Taiwan Chapter.
FIABCI members take turns hosting the GLS in the winter every year. After last year's grand event hosted by the FIABCI-TAIWAN in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, this year'sFIABCI-SAUDI ARABIA Chapter took over the baton and held the four-day event from December 4 to 7 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Since its founding by former Chairman Glyn T. H. Ing, the Real Estate Developers Association of the Republic of China (R.O.C.) has long represented Taiwan in the World Real Estate Federation (WREF). The World Real Estate Federation (WRF) was founded in Paris in 1951 and has been a special advisory body to the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UNESCAP) since 1996. Through the platform of the World Real Estate Alliance, the Real Estate Society has effectively helped to expand China's international economic and trade space through second-track diplomacy over the years.
The event coincided with the annual re-election of the WFIA presidential positions. WFIA nominated five directors and supervisors to run for the election, led by President Lily Chang, and they hit a home run successfully. The five honored WFIA positions are as follows: President Lily Chang (Chairwoman of the Finance Committee and Executive Director of the FIABCI), Vice President Tang Guowei (Vice-Chairman of the Asia-Pacific Committee), and Executive Director Huang Peng (Yanxi). (Vice-Chairman of the Intermediaries Committee), Board Member Mr. Dai Yuzhe (Vice-Chairman of the Architects Committee), and Board Member Mr. Choi Hon Lam (Vice-Chairman of the Global Construction Excellence Awards Committee).
