President Lily Chang of Treasure Dragon Corp., Building a Home with Love, not Price

Treasure Dragon Corp.'s President, Lily Chang, has a positive personality and always insists on doing the right thing.

Treasure Dragon Corp.'s President,Lily Chang, in a masculine construction industry, injected a gentle breath, without any architectural background, with her own strength, on the ranks of brand-name builders, in Taichung, built a block of popular works, Lily Chang always insisted on taking the right path, even if the road stumbles, was questioned, but focus on the right thing, always in the end to bring the sweet fruits.

Treasure Dragon Corp. has been established for 35 years, Lily Chang, as a woman, has set many precedents and records for Taiwan's construction industry. She is a graduate of business administration, which has nothing to do with the construction industry, and will be invested in the construction, she laughs, “It was my husband who gave it a push. Lily Chang said that her husband was engaged in the shoe industry in the United States, the business is getting better and better, but also very good at investment and financial management, and returned to Taiwan, bought Treasure Dragon's starting house, and so began the construction business.

Lily Chang said she has always been interested in art, and also took interior design courses in the United States, and began to help customers design houses.She accidentally realized that her designs were well received, so she plunged into the real estate business.

Later, when Lily Chang's first child was born, he was in Taipei's postpartum center and found that the industry of postpartum centers had a lot of potential, but there were no such facilities in Taichung at that time, so she decided to go back to Taichung to buy a piece of land to build a postpartum center, which led to the establishment of Treasure Dragon, and the start of the construction business.

Treasure Dragon Corp. has a huge number of fans and relies on referrals from customers to spread the good word of mouth.

Losing money at the beginning of the business, but still insisting on doing the right thing.

However, due to some factors, the construction of the postpartum center was abandoned, but Treasure Dragon's first work “Jhong-Gang Gendii” was born. 

Lily Chang said that the first time she built a house, she wanted to do everything, and the original budget was NTD 45,000  for 3.3 m², but later she made it to 54,000 NTD, which was a loss of more than 14 million NTD.

At that time, the company's director had suggested that he should first make money before talking about influence, but Lily Chang believes that once you make money, you may be tainted, “all the losses are the balance of the future advertisement,” Lily Chang told her staff at that time, as far as possible to go forward and not stop.

Lily Chang said that although her husband was the chairman of the board of directors at that time, but the real executor was her, she has always reported the good news and not the bad, and her husband was her strongest backing, and never questioned or queried her, Lily Chang believes that Treasure Dragon will be successful because all the way to walk on the right path, she also wantonly show off a lot of past experience, added to the construction of the case, to build the foundation of Treasure Dragon's brand image.

Lily Chang said, the company's first case for the completion of the handover of the house will be explained, like a mother to a child to treat the customer, in such a warm way, to establish a relationship with the customer, which can be said to be an innovation in more than 30 years ago, the general industry does not dare to do so, because the residents may be gathered to argue with the builder more things!

Building a Brand Identity through a Number of Architectural Initiatives 

In the second case, it began to make the construction info seesion, before the start of the meeting, tell the customer how the construction will be built after the construction, bring everyone together, and even open a group, Lily Chang said, builders are afraid of customers to contact each other privately, knowing that the price difference between each household will come to complain about customer complaints, but Treasure Dragon's customers have never complained about the price difference problem, which also makes her quite touched on behalf of the customer is very trusting of the company.

Along the way, Lily Chang has insisted on the belief of wanting to be good to customers and wanting to build good houses, without anyone telling her what to do and how to run a construction company. 

Lily Chang said that when the house she bought in Taipei was being handed over, the builder's high standard of handing over the house was quite shocking to her, and from then on, Treasure Dragon's houses were all handing over in accordance with such a mode, and up to the present time, she is very proud to say that there has not been any handing over disputes in Treasure Dragon. Until now, she can proudly say that Treasure Dragon has not had any delivery disputes.

However, not everything has been smooth along the way, Lily Chang said that the biggest setback was after the earthquake on September 21, 1999, striving for perfection in the experience of such a big natural disaster, she has been doubting whether she can build a house that can really put people's mind at ease, and at that time, she kept asking herself, although she is very confident in Treasure Dragon's house, but if the earthquake shook for three more minutes, really the house would not fall down? How to convince customers in the future? How to keep the promise?

Lily Chang said that because of this incident, she became a bit autistic, and could not communicate with anyone for a week or two, until she saw that the company's staff members were still holding on to their positions, and after the earthquake, the first-level executives put aside their families and went straight to the company to deal with large and small matters, and she had a change of heart, “If they don't continue to run the business, where are they going to go? That's how she regained his motivation and pushed the company to another peak.
